In my photo essay I chose to photograph different flowers from my butterfly garden. I have spent the last two summers building and planting in this garden. I photographed the garden to portray the beauty of nature and its importance. Nature brings bugs and animals which are needed in the ecosystem to balance each other out. There is a reason for everything around us and people should not forget that. Plants benefit the air we breath. My book contained photos starting from just flowers in general to flowers with bugs. The book started with flowers covered in dew and ended with flowers in the bright sun. I took all macro pictures and used the vivid setting in order make all of my pictures bright and full of life. Most of my pictures were taken from an above view point looking down with a few that were taken eye level to the plant. My book was a gradual change from the dark and lonely plants to the light plants with the bugs. The lighting throughout my book gradually increased over times just like after it rains there is always a rainbow.
